Is this your first or second year teaching a Career and Technical Education course?
Don’t miss the opportunity to meet Texas Education Agency’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) directors, learn proven strategies for career and technical education, share ideas with other CTE educators from across the state, and earn continuing professional education credits.
The New Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher Conference is designed to help teachers with less than four years of experience gain the knowledge and resources they need to be successful in the CTE classroom.
Conference topics include the 16 Career Clusters; the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for CTE; preparing students for high-skill, high-wage and high-demand careers; working with special populations; and, strategies for teaching today’s students. New CTE teachers also will gain valuable resources and connections by networking with representatives from Texas career and technical student organizations (CTSOs) and professional associations.
Participants will have the opportunity to earn up to 16 continuing professional education units (CPEs) at no additional fee.
